Dan began working in Insurance at the London Processing Centre, now Xchanging, in 2001. Having worked across all classes of business at Xchanging, from Marine and Aviation Stage 1 signings to North American Stage 2 Policies, he moved to work for Aon in London in 2007 learning the basics from the point of view of a Lloyd’s broker and assisting with the setup of the E-Lpan2 project.
After 2 years Dan joined James Hampden International and was responsible for all aspects of broker support on Binding Authorities and Open market business in areas as diverse as Australia, Europe and North America dealing with a wide range of Professional indemnity and Medical Malpractice contracts as well as General Liability, Directors and Officers and single project PI. Working closely with the broking director, Dan also contributed towards budgeting and projecting growth of binding authority business and working out monthly accruals for the finance department.
He joined Trireme Insurance Group in March 2014 as Operations manager and helped relocate James Hampden International and Oxford Insurance Brokers to their new offices in Bevis Marks. He also assisted on a business process review across both businesses looking at efficiencies and common processes.
In January 2015, he joined Cantor Atkin Broker Services and has been working with various Lloyd’s Brokers with day to day processes including submitting work via the IMR to Xchanging and producing MRC’s and endorsements. He is currently assisting one of our clients navigate their way to becoming an accredited Lloyd’s Broker.
